Through our closed loop rating system, Rated People tradesmen are rated on quality, value and reliability by homeowners who had work completed by them. Rated People tradesmen get a guaranteed flow of work from quality homeowners, choosing the type of work they want to do, and where they want to work.
Rated People has grown organically to the #1 position in the lead generation market. Backed by investment rounds in December 2010 and December 2011, we’ve been focused on completely refreshing the homeowner and tradesmen user experiences and extending them on to mobile.
In 2012 we’re expanding and extending with a focus on new products, features and technology. Our in house development team is currently 20 strong consisting of 3 scrum teams: 3-4 java developers, a QA, and a front end HTML/CSS/JS/PHP developer.
The role:
Rated People require a PHP web developer to develop functionality for its online consumer and tradesmen portal.
You will be joining at a particularly steep growth period within Rated People, where the technical challenges and opportunities are extensive. This is a great time to cement your experience in a successful organisation.
Your responsibilities:
- Playing a collaborative role in small Agile SCRUM teams. Delivering work items in any of the required
technologies according to the requirements of the SCRUM - Agreeing, implementing and adhering to coding and implementation standards for PHP
- Adhering to release management process as part of continuous integration
- Automated testing
- Providing second and third line application support
Required technologies (2 years minimum):
- OO PHP development
- MySQL
- PHP frameworks: Codeigniter, Sympfony or Zend
- Automated test frameworks
